WPRS are proud to offer a revolutionary fat dissolving injection, offering a permanent solution to improve the appearance and profile of mild to moderate-severe submental (double chin) fat.
Fat dissolving injections contain a product naturally found in the body that helps absorb fat in food. When injected into the submental area the injections permanently destroy fat cells by a process known as adipocytolysis. Once fat cells have been destroyed they cannot store fat again.
What can I expect?
Fat dissolving injections are a non-surgical treatment, performed with a series of injections into the submental fat under the chin.
The amount of product required during a treatment depends on the amount of fat that needs to be dissolved. We recommend at least 2 treatments, with some patients requiring up to 4 treatments, at 6 week intervals.
To minimise any discomfort specialised cold packs are used to cool the treatment area. You should expect a burning sensation, however, it should not be painful
Results are not seen immediately. It will take up to 6 weeks for you to notice the benefit and this becomes more apparent with subsequent treatments. Swelling of the treatment area peaks at around 48 hours. We recommend that you rest at home following treatment and use cold packs to help with swelling. Most people will require a day off from work to recover following treatment.
