Skin pigmentation

Skin contains cells that produce melanin, a chemical that determines our skin tone (or colour).  Melanocytes are cells that release melanin, which is the pigment you can see in your skin after being in the sun when a tan is developing.

Facial Redness

There are a number of different ways in which people describe their facial redness.  Some exhibit a flushed appearance- a classic red nose and cheeks often associated with spicy foods,  or hot and cold weather, whereas others have obvious capillaries or blood vessels that may range from just a single spot, to a small area around the nose or nostrils, to even the entire face.

Skin Texture

WPRS offers non-invasive laser rejuvenation targeting premature signs of ageing including excessive redness, enlarged pores, uneven texture and fine lines to help firm and promote vibrant and healthy looking skin.

Acne

Acne is a disorder of the hair follicle and sebaceous gland. Whilst acne is most common in adolescents and young adults, it may also affect adults and can persist for many years.  Acne can present in many different ways. It is most commonly seen on the face, neck, chest and back as these areas have a higher number of sebaceous (oil) glands.

Fungal Nails

WPRS offer a safe and effective treatment for nail fungus with laser. The laser penetrates inside the nail where the nail fungus (dermatophytes) reside, denaturing the fungus. The laser light passes through the tough nail plate with minimal discomfort and no damage to the surrounding tissues.

Plantar Warts Preview

Disease progression of warts is often naturally self-resolving, however some can be unpredictable and require treatment. Current treatment methods including topical ointments are time consuming and rely heavily on compliance. Invasive methods (such as diathermy or surgery) are often associated with long recovery periods and greater discomfort.
