Rob Capstick is a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, joining the practice in March 2022.
Coming from the Hunter Valley in rural NSW, Rob moved to Victoria for medical school. He graduated from Monash University with honours in 2012, with an extra year of research in hand surgery spent at Oxford University in the UK.
Rob trained in Melbourne in all aspects of plastic surgery including the management of skin cancer, hand surgery, microsurgery, burn management, and breast reconstruction. He received awards from the University of Melbourne for excellence in surgical anatomy, as well as the highest grade for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons clinical examination.
Following the completion of his specialist training, Rob divides his time between the city and the country, working in Warrnambool on a monthly basis. In Warrnambool, Rob consults at WPRS and has appointments at St John of God Hospital, Southwest Healthcare (Warrnambool & Camperdown Hospitals), and Portland Base Hospital. He is passionate about the education of junior medical staff and has an ongoing interest in research.
Outside of medicine Rob enjoys skiing and scuba diving as well as gardening, food and wine.
