Eczema, or atopic dermatitis, is a chronic, non-contagious inflammatory skin condition with symptoms including areas of dry, itching and reddened skin. Eczema is often associated with other atopic conditions such as asthma and hay fever and can affect individuals of all ages. It maybe exacerbated by contact with triggers such as environmental irritants and heat.
