- Initial consult: $164 fee (Medicare rebate will apply with valid referral from general practitioner)
- Initial cosmetic patient: $175 fee
- Review: $124 fee
- Failure to confirm your appointment 24 hours prior will result in your consultation being cancelled
- Failure to arrive for your appointment without notification will result in a fee charged of 50% of the consultation fee.
After your initial consultation with your Surgeon, you will meet with our secretary who will provide you with an Estimate of Medical Fees indicating out-of-pocket cost for any procedures required for your care.

Important Information
If you have private insurance and are covered for the procedure, the costs associated with the hospital and anaesthetist may also attract a rebate from your insurer.

Terms & Conditions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- ‘Services’ includes surgical, medical, ancillary and any other goods or service that may be offered by WPRS from time to time; and
- ‘WPRS’ or ‘us’ means Warrnambool Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Pty Ltd (CAN 154 690 150) as trustee for the Warrnambool Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Trust.
General
2.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to any purchase of goods or services from WPRS.
2.2 These Terms and Conditions may be amended periodically and request you review these periodically on our website (wprs.net.au) and before your procedure. If you have any concerns regarding an amendment, please contact WPRS.
2.3 These Terms and Conditions do not apply to any purchase of goods or services from other providers listed on this estimate, outside of WPRS.
Procedure Cost
3.1 All prices are in Australian Dollars, unless otherwise indicated.
3.2 Medical procedures under Australian law are GST exempt. Cosmetic procedures with no medical item number are deemed a goods and service and may attract GST.
3.3 By signing the Estimate of Medical Fees you warrant that:
- you are capable of entering into a legally binding contract with WPRS; and
- you are authorised and able to make payment via the method you have chosen.
Payment Terms
4.1 Unless otherwise indicated, payment in full is required 14 days before your procedure, or on the day of booking if your chosen date is within the 14-day period. Failure to pay within this period will result in your date being cancelled.
4.2 Payment in full is required prior to any good and services delivery in all instances
4.2 Payment can be made with:
- credit or debit cards (Visa or Mastercard only) in person at WPRS or via phone 03 5563 5330; and
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
4.3 Payment maybe made in instalments, however payment in full is required 14 days before your procedure.
4.4 WPRS will not enter into financial agreement with lending institutions to fund your procedure.
Cancellation Policy
5.1 All fees payable to WPRS (e.g. WPRS Surgeon Fees) are fully refundable up to 7 days before your procedure.
5.2 If you notify us in writing less than 7 days before surgery that you wish to cancel your procedure, you will have a refund issued minus a 20% cancellation fee.
5.3 If you notify us in writing less than 7 days before your procedure that you wish rebook your procedure, you will incur a 10% administration fee that will be added to your invoice.
5.5 To claim a refund please email accounts@wprs.net.au with your name, procedure cancelled and preferred method of refund.
5.6 WPRS reserves the right to refund your account by your original payment method or another method at our discretion.
5.7 All refunds minus any fees will be issued from WPRS accounts within 72 hours of receiving written notification to our Finance team. Finance will provide email confirmation of the refund being completed.
5.8 WPRS takes no responsibility for prolonged processing time by your financial provider that may result in fund taking longer to be cleared.
5.9 WPRS may take discretion in certain circumstance and waive the cancellation fee or rebooking fee if it is deemed beyond the patients control or for compassionate reasons.
5.10 Any cancellations initiated by WPRS will not incur a cancellation or rebooking fee.
Procedure Inclusions
6.1 WPRS will provide the following inclusions relating to the procedure:
- Comprehensive aftercare with WPRS as directed by your Surgeon;
- Wound dressings and scar management applications (i.e. silicone) for initial 6 weeks post- procedure; and
- Wound dressings, or care by an approved third-party provider at the discretion of WPRS, if required for a period of 6 weeks post procedure.
Procedure Exclusions
7.1 WPRS does not provide the following in the provision of services and it is important to note that these may incur further costs. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Additional post-operative garments purchased through WPRS or another third-party provider;
- Allied health services that may in certain circumstance be deemed beneficial to aid recovery. These may include physiotherapy or lymphatic massage;
- Treatments for scar management at Skin Lab by WPRS;
- Wound dressings and scar management applications (e.g. silicone) after 6 weeks; and
- Wounds dressings or care by an approved third-party provider after 6 weeks post procedure.
Complications
8.1 WPRS aim to provide the high level of care in the safest possible manner, however, complications may occasionally occur. It is important to refer to your consent form to familiarise yourself with these risks and contact WPRS prior to your procedure to discuss any concerns.
8.2 Complications are deemed as undesirable consequences that may arise as a result of your procedure. These may occur immediately or be delayed. Many complications can be dealt with in the WPRS rooms; however, you may occasionally require a return to surgery.
8.3 Costs associated with management of complications:
- No costs are associated with the management of complications in WPRS clinics for a 6-week period;
- WPRS will not charge additional Surgeon Fees or any extra out of pocket expenses for complications that require return to surgery in the first 6 weeks following your procedure; and
- WPRS does not determine extra costs charged by St John of God Hospital, your Anaesthetist or Prothesis providers for management of complications and WPRS does not cover these costs.
8.4 Costs incurred by WPRS for management of complication beyond 6 weeks following your procedure will entirely be at the discretion of your Surgeon and their instruction to WPRS.
8.5 WPRS encourages you to enquire with third-party providers (e.g., St John of God Hospital, your Anaesthetist or Prothesis providers) listed herein regarding any costs that may be associated with return to theatre for complications before your initial surgery. Please note, your return to theatre may result in a different Anaesthetist being scheduled depending on the date and therefore a different cost may apply.
8.6 WPRS encourages all patients having surgery to consider holding private health insurance, as this may cover some of the costs associated with a return to surgery for management of complications. It is your responsibility to enquire with private health insurers regarding this type of cover.
Revisional Surgery
9.1 WPRS aims to provide the highest level of care and obtain the best results. However, occasionally the result may be deemed by the patient to have not met expectations. This may result in revisional surgery.
9.2 Costs associated with management of revisional surgery:
- The initial procedural quote provided for your surgery does not cover costs associated with any revisional surgery. Additional surgery may incur further costs;
- WPRS will aim to minimise out of pockets costs associated with revisional surgery, however the costs incurred will be at your Surgeon’s discretion; and
- WPRS does not determine extra costs charged by St John of God hospital, Anaesthetist or prothesis providers for revisional surgery and WPRS does not cover these costs.
9.3 If revisional surgery is deemed necessary than an estimate of procedure fee will be provided
9.4 WPRS encourages all patients having surgery to consider having private health insurance for their procedure as this will occasionally cover or contribute to costs associated with revisional surgery.
Privacy
10.1 WPRS respects your privacy and the confidentiality and security of personal information provided by you to us. How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy
Law
11.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
