Rosacea
Rosacea is a common skin condition that commonly affects fair skinned adults. Whilst the exact cause of Rosacea is not known, it tends to be more prevalent in females and contributing factors are thought to be associated with genetics and environmental influences that result in inflammation and blood vessel formation.
The main components of Rosacea are:
- Red papules and pustules, mostly on the nose and cheeks
- Tiny blood vessels (telangiectasia) that appear permanently and maybe exacerbated with triggers including alcohol, sun or hot/spicy foods resulting in facial flushing or blushing
At WPRS our specialist dermatologist is trained to assess and manage minor to severe cases of rosacea. Treatment options offered at WPRS include
