Skin allergy testing is a process used to detect allergic contact dermatitis. This maybe something contacted at home, leisure or work.
At WPRS our specialist dermatologist can use patch testing to identify allergens via the application of small patches to your back for 48 hours. The number of allergens tested will depend on your assessment. No pin pricking is required.
Results will be available within 48 hours but some people may have late results up to 7 to 10 days. A positive reaction will produce active dermatitis with associated itch. This will be treated with topical steroids if required.
